power steering

so i was driving my car the other day and i notice that my belt was making noise everytime i went past 45mph, anyways i figured its just loose but then i noticed it is really hard to turn all the way left and it screaches really bad everytime i do so im guessing its more than just the belt. my engine is a 318 if anyone has any input please let me know. thanks

Check belt and fluid lever first. Loose belt will cause low pressure.
