So...it's not set in stone, but I'd kinda like to see what the value of my car may be. I'm toying with the idea of selling but would be more interested in a trade. I've owned this car since about 2001. It was originally a gold exterior, brown interior, slant 6, auto on the column, bench seat, plain-Jain Demon. I cloned it into a 340 4 speed car. Here are the current specs.
Body:
This has been an AZ car it's whole life so crusty rust wasn't an issue. I did the body/paint back in 2002ish. It is painted with base/clear PPG EK2 Go mango orange. Still shows well but is showing some wear. The body wasn't/isn't beat up so there is not a bunch of filler. The scoops on the hood are factory originals, not re-pops. Not much else to say body wise.
Interior:
The interior is all Legendary stuff from the seat covers to the carpet. It was redone in about 2004 and still looks great! White bucket seats, head liner and door panels. Black everything else. Stock dash, not ralley, Tuff wheel, correct steering column, functioning gauges and tach etc...
Suspension:
The front end is all urethane bushings and Moog ball joints and tie rods. The K member and sway bar are from a 71 340 Duster, front disk brakes from a 76 Duster, KYB shocks all around, A body 8 3/4 rear with Dr. Diff axles, 10in drums and 3.91 clutch sure grip. The wheels are factory steel 15x5 fronts and 15x8 rears with dog dish caps.
Eng/trans:
1971 340 block .020 over 10:1 compression, 2.02 J heads, 284/484 purple cam, Edelbrock Torker II intake, Holley 650 DP, MP distributor with MSD 6A box(mounted under the dash), Taylor wires, 71 340 radiator, Hooker headers, completely rebuilt 833 4 speed with new flywheel and Ram clutch. The engine is painted and detailed like a factory stock engine. Even has the correct air cleaner!
The whole car has about 6-7k miles on it. I haven't driven it much obviously. However, it is a fun car and really quick but I'm kinda wanting a b body project/driver. So what do you guys/girls think?

Bench seat? Ralley gauges? Maybe around 12 to 15k. My demon is way more fun and responsive to drive than my 68 RR.

I don't think I ever checked. I just remember it was an early 71 casting.

I am curious about the early 71 engine too. My original 340 is missing and the car came from the New Mexico/Arizona area. The assembly date of my car is July 20, 1970.

Even being a made car it's still a 340 - 4 speed if it's solid and no bondo I wouldn't be afraid to start in the high teens I sold my made Demon a couple of years ago for 17K several people on here giving prices are thinking what they would pay

You must be talking about me. It's a nice car, for me with the buckets right around 15k you can get a nice older restored real matching #s 340 4 gear demon with minor paint issues and a hot rodded engine for mid 20's. Or less. But that's my opinion, your saying 17k so really we are not far off,

I was thinking mid/high teens but wanted to see if others agreed. It's a nice car and a lot of fun for a street car. Thanks the inputs!

I would be in the very high teens if not in the 20's to start off with depends on the details of the car I've used http://www.cars-on-line.com/ several times with good luck do not use the slide show feature ansd it runs till sold
