im sandblasting my 67 barracuda notch next week, and im still trying to decide what primer to use. The car will be painted tuxedo black eventually, and im painting the underside with chassis black. Ill be driving the car while i do bodywork on it.

I'd use epoxy primer. It seals better than regular primer and you can do bodywork over it if necessary.

I just blasted the frame rails and fire wall on my car last week and covered it with OSPHO. Can epoxy primer be used over that?

Ashton, don't sandblast the outside body panels. The heat from the friction will warp and ruin the sheet metal. toolmanmike

I'm sold on PPG products being an old PPG painter, but others may have luck with other brands. PPG is my weapon of choice.

PPG is what I use. They have a grade called Shop Line, same as the PPG line except it doesn't have the warranty which is only good for well known shops anyway so why pay for it.

Over bare steal and plastic work, epoxy is the only way to go it seals and adheres extremely good.

RM EP789 is what I use and in your application, it's already black which is a bonus too.

Oh yeah..... this is an epoxy primer too.
