Which way does the oil pump drive to prime it on a small block, clockwise? This is a 360 magnum. Thanks. brian

Nice, thanks. I haven't worked on a v8 mopar since I was a kid, I seem to recall big block was counter clockwise but couldn't recall small block. I'll get back into it....

Is the cam already installed engine buttoned up?

It's a crate engine, it'll be dyno tested before shipment, but I'm not sure if they leave the oil in or not. I figured I should at least give it a pump up before cranking it over.

If it's been recently run, and is going to be run again soon (within 6 months or so) I wouldn't worry about it. I've fired up engines that have been sitting for years without an issue. The oil on bearings and cam surfaces doesn't completely disappear. There's still enough there until the engine fires and oil pressure jumps up again.
