Problem Starting Up

74 Dodge Dart Swinger Slant 6 This is my problem starts up once w/key no problems, I'll have the engine on idle for up to an hour, turn it off, then it won't start up again. Put in new control box, ballast resistor, starter relay, coil, cap rotor, spark plugs, starter, battery, neutral safety switch. Please help on what you think I could do! Going crazy!!!!

Check Fuel pump, Had a 318 Dart do that to me once, Was in school at the time teacher couldnt find nothing till we attempted to drive it out and it quit and was the fuel pump. Would shut down once warmed up try or look at that D

I believe you have electronic ignition. Might want to check out the pick-up coil in the distributer.

checked out pick up coil,gap to open adjusted to .008 now car starts evry time. thanks everybodies support

The star wheel/ reluctor gap in the dist. Use a .008 non-magnetc, usually brass feeler ga. some feeler ga. sets come with a .008 brass blade
