I need a proportioning valve for a 67-up, drum brake...anybody got a used one or can tell me what to buy from Summit or Jegs or ??...
I have a 67 dual res. master cylinder I'm putting on my 66..also what is the difference between Dot 3 and DOT 5 brake fluid?

Thanks...Dave

If your going to run drums on all 4 corners I have one off a 69 Dart that should work for you.

That'll work just fine, I'll be running the drums, how much you need to get for the valve?

Thanks...Dave

you cont need a different valve/block, use the stock 66 distribtion block for the front and run a line directly to the rear line.

its only a spilter box, not a proportioning valve, my 66 newport has been like this for years.

just put pipe plug in the box where the rear line exited.

DOT 5 brake fluid is silicone based, and absolutely will not mix with DOT 3 fluid. If you try, you'll have a milkshake in your master cylinder.
