going to change my front drum brakes to the kelsey hayes set up can i use this instead of the factory disk one

and is it installed for the rear brakes ??

Yes you can . I installed one on my B-body after adding rear disc from a Jeep Grand Cherokee on my 8.25 and 11.75 inch front upgrade.
I installed it on the line to the rear along the frame rail aft the factory junction block.
