Check out these photos of Don Prudhomme's restored Dodge D700 Funny Car Hauler from the 'Snake and Mongoose Hot Wheels' days. This was state-of-the-art in the early '70s. Certainly not the ultra high-bucks haulers of today. Always fun to remember the good ol' days.

Cool, I remember getting the hotwheel dragstrip toy set with two cars, ah yes the wonder years:happy10:

That is really nice. I would call Garlits and see if he wants to use it at the museum.
I had the yellow 70 Cuda from Prudhomme and the red 70 Duster from Mcewen when I was a kid. Wish I still had that old stuff.

Nice job whoever did the resto.

A question............

Why, if the yellow truck is the restored version, is the actual picture of the original truck showing different colors? Did Don's truck vary in color during certain times or seasons?

Whatever the answer, that is one truck I would LOVE to get my hands on. Great piece of history. :toothy10:

Man, you're not kiddin'..............

That truck would look great with a nicely restored A-Body on the back rollin' into the shows...........and matching paint scheme, of course!

Now that is cool. I saw a restored Team Shelby Hauler at a SAAC event. I love that kind of thing.
