you seem close to getting the engine in the car, sorry but i don't know anything about pushrods

yea thanks my son stays on me and when I out in the shop here he come to turn a bolt or 2 plan to let him drive a little this time out 16yrs old let old dad look and work on the old girl....

I use Smith brothers for pushrods: 1-800-367-1533 or www.pushrods.net
They will need an accurate length. Comp Cams has a variety of length checker pushrods, stock small block is around 7.500.

Solid lifter/adjustable rocker pushrods tend to be around 1.50" and hydraulic lifters with adj. rockers tend to be around 7.23". Comp Cams has a 7.31" version but they don't always end up correct.

I've run pushrods with 1-2 threads recessed as well as 1-2 threads showing. 1-2 showing is about right, as long as the lash or preload is correct.

I just want to post this pic of the rockers and push rod 1has 1 tread and the other has about 3 treads showing

sorry I'll have to try again they didnt post

try this again
