Putting the finishing touches on the 410!

I got the heads torqued down, rockers torqued down, rockers adjusted. I just need to gasket match the new intake & put that on and its ready to install! I also ordered the torque converter today,,,,, ouch!

Looks familiar LOL.I think I,m ahead of ya by a week. Can you tell us abit of whats done to the engine?What convertor?I run a Coan 8 inch 4500 stall $$$

before you put on the intake...
make sure you lube up those lifters if you havent already

put white lube or assembly lube on the cam lobes and the bottom face of the lifters (not a ton of extra white lube just a thin layer on the surfaces that touch)

the sides of the lifters that touch the bore... put a bit of motor oil on them if you want so they are not dry in the hole.

77 360 block bored .040, Scat 4340 4" crank, Scat 4340 H-beams, Probe Flat tops(12.5:1), Comp solid roller(269/[email protected] .654/.655 lift), ported Performer RPM's(287I/205E), Comp Pro Magnum roller rockers, Edelbrock Super Vic intake, 950 HP Holley, Hooker 1 3/4" Super Comps. I ordered a Dynamic Frank Lupo 8" 5000-5100 stall converter($1K). Engine is backed by a 727 w/ 2.77 straight cut low gear set, 8 3/4" w/4.10's. Our race season starts in mid May, so I hope to have it close by then. Also switching the rear leafs to a Chris Alston Ladder bar/coil over set up.

I just started a new job where I work 4 days on then 4 days off, year round. So I should have alot more time to dedicate to car projects!

Ohhhhhh Petty that intake needs some LOVE in the plenum area!! At least you guys are puttin' engines in your cars....:-(

Yeah,plans are for a port matched Victor in the near future when money reappears in my wallet LOL
