Quadra Jet carb ID plz?

Yep, again they are the goodness if you can get your hands and mind wrapped around one.

That might be worth something to a GM restorer! I can't imagine 1966 Q-jets grow on trees!

If i remember correctly Chrysler used the Rochester Quadra Jet in 1979 police cars and some trucks got em , it was something to do with Carter on strike shut down not sure .That carb is back before 67 for sure .

No they don't grow on trees. The Q-Jet plant had a fire that year leading to a shortage. They has to use Holleys to fill in the gaps.

For example, the 66 Chevelle SS, 396, 325hp I had.

The 325hp 396 should have had a Q-Jet, instead it had Holley. I still have the Holley from that car.

All this was verifiable by the Protecto-Plate and build sheet. The engine was even stamped with an "H" following the standard "EK" code.

And......there are some 10 second cars that run a Quadrajet. And.....the Quadrajet was also manufactured by Carter, due to Rochester's inability to keep up with demand.

Okay, guru's... Here's my other QJet... NO part number on this one, that I can see. What do you suppose this one is from? BTW, the man I got these from was an avid MOPAR guy, dabbled in Ford, but hated Chebby.

7028239 ...stamped lightly, didn't see it at first.

So looks like the "703" series carbs are the more desirable ones. I read the link, it says the 703 carbs are A.I.R. Carbs (?) mine are both 702, as OldManRick pointed out.

7 0 2 6 7 0 3
Any ideas?

Guys, it 7026203......not 703.

I was referring to the last 3 digits.....203 not 703. Anyway, it's from a 66' 327 w/ a manual trans.

This one shows being from a 68' Caddy 472. Auto of course.
