Last time this mysteriously moved to the parts section, so I will tell what I have found. I bought some of the Pro Comp heads off ebay, and bagged them after a quick visual. A week later, someone else on ebay emails me about the heads they purchased. Seems the vavled stems are high and low, so I pulled my heads out of the bag and low and behold, the intake valves seem to be about .100 lower than the exhaugst valves. Didn't have my calipers handy, but I would guess the spring heights are off the same. Next will be tearing the heads apart to measure the valves overall lengths, and the length from valve head and the undercuts for the keepers.

Anybody else pulled one of these Pro Comp heads apart for inspection?:violent1:

I would tear down and inspect any heads I got no matter where they came from, to costly not too if there is a problem. I have seen this kind of thing happen a lot.

I also have heard that the valve angle is wrong too! Guides are installed at a weird angle as well as the seat is poorly ground. If I were to purchase the Procomp head I would get them bare and have ferra valves installed. Just my 2 cents.
Not many people want to elaborate on these heads for some reason.
