Question About Valiant Emblems

I've noticed on some Valiant grille and trunk emblems, as well as some emblems on wheel covers and such that sometimes the "V" Valiant emblem is half blue and half red and sometimes it's half white and half red. Vixen's grille emblem for example is half white and half red. The white is not faded blue, it's white and original I believe. Mine is a 64 Valiant. So what gives? Why the two different colors?

All the ones I remember seeing were the light blue and red.

Blue and red are the only correct colours for this emblem; if you're seeing white, it's because of age (sun fading). Chrysler engine blue and Chrysler engine red are close matches for the original.
