Question for a true "survivor" Dart Demon Duster

If you have a true "survivor" Demon I need to know if the fuel filler inlet tube was slid thru the quarter panel and then bolted on or is it attached by the three screws from the back side? It makes a difference when putting on the original style gas cap. Thanks a ton.

every car i have seen was thru the quarter, and the filler neck was slip fit to the screws and tightened to the quarter

My 74 Duster has the 3 philips head screws on the outside of the quarter. When I remove the original style gas cap, the heads of the screws are visible. Hope that helps.

Through the quarter. There also should be a gasket between the flange and the quarter to keep water from running down the tube into the trunk.
