Parked my truck today to eat my lunch and read a mopar mag.Noticed a group of kids from a nearby school gathered together in a small field bout 75 yards off the main drag.Well i watched for a few seconds and then realized they were watching a couple of guys going at it trying to knock the crap out of each other.Maybe some of the young members here could tell me if this is a common thing in there area.We all seen the fight movies, but I thought that was for older guys. These kids were about 15-16 years old.Well I watched for about a minute and then went back to my mag, more interesting.8)

well, not usual for my school group (cause i go to cedars christian school) but on friday and saturday nights, it'll happen here all the time (since i live in the country)

i throw parties every once in a while. and we always have boxing matches against eachother. granted its after a few beverages. its just just something to do i guess.

and also at many of the parties that i go to, there is some type of boxing or fighting going on. not everyone does it. just the people that feel they need to prove themselves i guess.

i never box or fight. i don't feel i need to prove myself and if someone really wants to fight me it wont be a friendly organized match. lol

im the same as you, everyone fights, but i guess i have no need to prove myself, and i find it kinda pointless,

me and my buddies have had a set up locker boxing orginazation goin on lol. it was fun and all in fun. its kinda like football. ya it hurts but its a fun sport lol. its kinda funny when people take it personal and we have to stop it lol

Those kids are idiots I'm not too much older but that would get arrested in my town I used to do kick boxing but that was in a do jo and it was a blast but in a controlled enviroment so it didnt get out of hand

I won't comment on my past fights but for fun my buddies and I used to beat the ungodly crap out of each other just for something to do. John used to let us try and bust 2x4's over his head until we tried it with one that had a nail in it. John also spent 2 1/2 years when he was 16 because he broke a Louisville Slugger over a guys face (John got out and the same guy still wanted to fight him) John will be back out in about 7-15 years for something else because he is a dumbass.

Then there is Def Charlie....If you have ever seen the movie SLC Punk, the nerd guy in that move that goes crazy and beats the crap out of everyone is Def Charlie.

And we also have Uhg (Jesse) He was fat, got the lap band thingy done, got skinny, lost one fight because he was skinny, had the lap band undone (or whatever they do) and is big again....he also likes to taze the first person to pass out at a party with a cattle prod....Jesse is an asshole :angry7:

Def Charlie, Uhg, Danny and "Mini Uhg" (Ugh's little brother) took on about 45 high school kids and an old man with a shot gun at a huge kegger out in the woods and won.

I'm not really a young gun anymore (30) but a fight every now and then is good for you!
My friends are stupid:angry7:....but fighting is fun:cheers:

Every day at the bus stop.
Oh wait that was 30 years ago. 8)
I had a friend who couldnt be beat. he would box you silly. I was more of wrestler and I guess submission fighter. Im in fast and dont let go. :-D

Maybe they were trying out for the hockey team:dontknow:

I'm almost 40... I had three friends who would regularly fight over stupid stuff. We got used to it and would just let them work it out. Boys will be boys. Time doesnt change that...lol.

It's actually pretty typical. Some are organized fights, sometimes people get jumped, and sometimes the cops even show up. I dunno, maybe it's just because I am used to the city and all the fighting between people. It doesn't happen every day but it doesn't surprise me when it does.

And those who think hockey is just about fighting are usually the ones who know nothing about the game. Just in case you were serious... and cause I'm a hockey fan I had to say something :-D

I do know of a select group of people that DO get together some nights in each others basements to fight for fun... forgot about those guys.

Everyone thinks they are pro UFC fighters suppose they have to prove it to their friends

oh yea, at my school i work after everyday for 4 hours as a student janitor ( it buys my duster stuff ) and there are fights all the time, just between friends playing around mostly. I mop up where fights take place about once a month probably.
that stuffs not for me, but some people like cars, and some like fighting i guess

I posted that comment "toungue-in-cheek" :-D , nothing serious for sure....

About the only time I see any hockey highlights on the 10 o'clock news, it's usually because there was some kind of rumble that made the highlight reels.:-D

Seeing as how this is my thread I can go off topic,lol:-D Rick,I hope your feeling better, you're talking about fighting you must be doin a lil better.8)

It happens plenty in San Bernardino. There are way too many fights between wanna be gang bangers.

People "go body" which is basically still fighting but organized. Like you can agree on no head shots, or no dirty hits and stuff. Some kid tried that with me and broke his own rules, so, well I found out that skater kids trying to be gang bangers too just didn't have it. lol I am on the water polo team so we mess around plenty after practice and stuff.

I'm a high school teacher and can confirm that what you saw happens quite often out here in SoCal. With the whole "Ultimate Fighter" and UFC craze taking place kids are really enthralled by the fight scene. So what they do is they find a quiet place, or a friends house with a nice backyard, and stage their own fights. I've had kids try to show me their fights they saved on their camera phones. Funny thing is many of these kids are also the biggest "tough guys" on campus and even try to intimidate teachers. Well once they learn that I've been training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu myself for about eight years and have trained with guys who actually fight in bigger venues, they sort of tone down the tough guy image and actually focus on learning in my class.

At least the kids aren't shooting each other. All through school in Chicago there was always an after school fight. If it resolves the problem between the kids for awhile, I say go for it. I've been involved in that back in the day. In one brawl we couldn't beat each other down, it was a draw. We became best friends and still keep in contact to this day.

Pretty typical yep. My old school it used to happen a bunch. You should of seen the time two girls went at it!
