Has anyone ever used this distributor? The part number is 8504. Just wondering how you guys like it. And if anyone has clearance issues with since I believe it's a little taller. Thanks! And yes it is a bit pricy lol but it looks so simple and almost worth it IMO

I run it. Like it. I have to remove two plug wire and loosen the distributor to get the cap off with my 3 speed wiper motor.

The install instructions are sort of confusing, but it's not as hard as they make it out to be. Pick the "locked out" distrubutor curve. Point the rotor at #1. Set total advanced timing (like 34 deg at 3000). Then set the dials on your advance curves from the chart. Now set total timing again at max advance at "all-in" RPM. Done.

Unit comes with rev limiter. So you don't need buy a multi spark box to get a rev-limiter feature.

I was getting ready to post a link, but Steve beat me to it.

I haven't done much to mine yet except start that other thread and read the instruction about twenty times...

Hmm well thanks for the info guys. Hopefully if or when I get it ill get it figured out

Chime in with the problem you're having on that other thread, and keep it going. No sense in having two similar threads going at the same time.

I was looking at that but the programmable 6AL-2 box looks like a better choice. You can tailor your advance curves just like the e-curve, but you get the benefits of the high power igintion box. The price is about the same, actually the box is cheaper, you just need to lock your current distribtor to let the box do all the work.
