I looked over a few fsm's and tried to figure this out for certain, but was slightly confused by one piece. I've pictured the front and back of all of the steering column seal components I have.
The only seal that is confusing me is the one I already have installed on the middle black plate.
From what I understand, for a 1964, from engine bay to passenger cabin, it would be the white foam seal, the middle black plate, the o ring furthest left, and then the plate with the embossed ridges, correct? Is the seal I have installed on the middle plate incorrect for my model year and not part of the assembly? Even if it is incorrect, it looks like it would create a better seal and would make the o ring unnecessary? The pictures on the fsm are kinda hard to make out for this specific section and couldn't get a positive confirmation myself.
