Just installed new wheel cylinders on the rear of my '70 Swinger. The "part" that slides into the rubber boot, do you just push it in or is there a certain way to seat/install this in the rubber boot? Do you put any lube on the tip where it sits in the piston before installing? Hopefully you know what i'm talking about. Thanks in advance!

The brake shoe pins just push into the cylinder. If you want them to slide in easier, just spit on it.

I usually put a small amount of white lubriplate (lithem) grease on the end of the pin where it contacts the wheel cyl piston. I think it keeps the pins from corroding up on the ends. You know what steel is like when it is in contact with aluminum. Just use ordinary grease if thats all you have.
