Went to US131 last week, final T&T of the season. I haven't raced in 35 years. I ran my Dart in full street trim, right down to the spare tire and bag of tools in the trunk. After a couple of really bad runs (13's), trying to figure out what I was doing, I ran two back to back 12.78's with terrible 60' times due to lots of tire spin. Temp was in the low 50's, track was cold. Here are the results:

Reaction- .9171
60' - 2.0988
330' - 5.4728
ET@ 594'- 7.7528
1/8 ET - 8.2660
1/8 MPH- 87.69
1000' ET - 10.7078
1000' MPH - 99.76
1/4 ET - 12.7811
1/4 MPH - 108.58

adjust the pinion snubber all the way up (if car has adj. pinion snubber) and lower tire pressure down to about 15-17 lbs. and car might hook up .

I like the style of that car, sort o f looks familiar to me.

In full street trim,
Right down to the spare tire and bag of tools in the trunk.:tongue9:
I Would say that you and your dart halledass man.:thumblef:
Congratulations on a great day for the first time to race her.:blob:

Yup, she goes good.

Now you have the fever again, and there goes all your extra money.:banghead:

Lol!

When you get those 60's down I'll bet those turn into low 12's.

Dustpan- Congrats on the run 1st off. 12's are nice! Did you see a yellow 70 Duster there? My buddy Bill went that day I think (I wasnt there) He ran low 13's and is close to breaking 12's. He runs a 360 Magnum out of a late model Ram. Just curious if you saw him. I'll ask him if he saw you there. I'm getting the Dart there next season once I get my 'x' heads on and work out my tranny bugs. We should plan one time when we all can go next year...

Very nice. You have mid to low 12's with the 108 mph. Just get it to hook and go 1/2 second faster. What's the combo if you dont mind me asking ? Ron

Ron, it's a 73 Dart Sport with a 72 440 block bored .030 over, balanced, 10:1 compression, Eddy RPM heads, Eddy RPM intake, Eddy 800cfm carb. mild Crane 280H cam, Schumacker Tri-Y headers into 2.5" exhaust with flowmaster mufflers. This is attached to a 727 with all Mopar Performance internals with a TCI 3500 stall converter. It then goes back to a narrowed 8 3/4 Suregrip with 3.55 gears. The car is mini-tubbed and is running 325-50R15 rear tires on 10" Weld wheels. Full stock interior, stock big block radiator, battery is in stock location.

By the way, Ron, I love your 63. My first car (back in 67) was a 63 Sport Fury convert with a 426.

Not a bad start. Welcome back. I raced from 1970-1993. I still have the car that I raced in 70. 69.5 Bee. I started back this year. First time out I went to the finals, but blew both headgaskets. Last race of the year I won Pro(foot brake) and runnerupped in King of the Hill, after beating the Super Pro winner(he had a 68 Dart also). I treed the guy, but broke out due to not paying attention to where the finish line was. I scrubbed off mph, but not ET. I thought that I was dialed in right. Car ran a 7.07 @98.24 mph. with a .0109 reaction time.(best)

Thanks for the kind words Dustpan. I bet if you get full lenth headers to replace the try-y's you will pick up hp and go even faster. Very nice car. Ron
