Radio part ?? 1968 Dodge Dart AM radio model 248

Does anybody know if this spring steel is part of this radio? I took the chrome front plate off fix the tuner from being stuck and this was on the bench. I am not certain if it was in the radio. It could have been on the bench prior to disassembly. Thanks.

possible ground strap to case from a PCB. I dodnt have anything like that in my 65 "222" radio. It was all copper tape.

Based on the Teflon looking tape on it I'm thinking a device to apply some drag on the tuner knob to prevent it from moving under vibration.

Thumb wheel radio? I think it is from it like Dana said. Behind the volume or tuning knob?
