What needs restored? I've seen nos lenses and dials on e-bay. As far as working any audio repair guy should be able to do that.

the local repairs guys around here have no idea now to fix this stuff, nore do they care to.

I'm sure somebody wants to do a 400 dollar restore on a 40 dollar AM radio. YearOne can convert it into an AM/FM sterio and controller for remote cd rack as well.

Thank you for the info. I just need a cosmetic repair so it looks good.

I am thinking of having 'hidden' cd changer as I found in the paddoc parts catalogue. However, they are pretty hefty in price. Around 400+ bucks.

Anyone got any ideas on having 'invisible' modern stereo?

You could place smothing like this in the trunk along with a high powered fm antenna. The hard lined remote shows everything you wanna see. You can't loose it, you can hide it.
I have a song book in the glovebox (LOL) but if I wanted aftermarket sound this is what I'd add
