Radio Stopped Working

All. So, I took it to a local car wash, removed the antenna and next day the radio is kind of fainter - but still there. Then it just cuts out entirely. I can still hear it just very faintly. Any suggestions? I vaccumed the top of the antenna and can only surmise that in my taking off the antenna entirely and then not having the good judgment to cover the hole, water got in there. I will take it apart this weekend, but wondered if anyone else had this happen and had any tips.

I would leave the mast out for a day our two and let the sun pull the water out of the cable.
