ralley dash question

on the back of my ralley dash near the wiper switch there is a resistor with a push on connector . It looks like it plugs on to one of the gauge pins but which one is my question? any help would be greatly appreciated

Are you sure its not a capacitor? There is a capacitor on the back of mine that is plugged onto the 12 volt supply to the fuel gauge instrument voltage regulator. Its there to filter electrical noise from the 12 volt supply.

capacitor is proubly the right term for it looks like a condencer for points. I am sure we are talking about the same part It was never hooked up when I originally got the car for it was a basket case. before this site I would have never had any one to ask. Thanks for your in put Im sure you are right that makes sense
