Well, I finally found an uncut rally dash bezel for my 71 Demon and I was wondering who you guys use to restore your bezels. Also who does a good job of testing and calibrating gauges and clusters? Thanks Warren

I used CV Vacuum Platers in Canada for mine.

Heres their site:

They have an address in Washington state to send your stuff to.
They handle all of the export stuff. Very easy transaction.

I had CV Platers rechrome mine, paint and detail it, and polish the lenses. Top quality job and I had it done about 8 years ago. Still looks as good as new.

I had my done by Glenn at GCAR up in Washington. www.gcartrim.com Here are some before and after pics. He also does gauge work and is a super guy to talk to and work with.

Oh yeah it was also got busted up when the person I bought it from shipped it. Think it cost $75 bucks extra to fix the break which the buyer covered and you cannot tell it was ever broke anymore!!

I got mine done at GCAR as well. It took about 3 months and I got it back with a major flaw in it. I had to send it back but he did take care of it promptly and it now looks great. It was expensive but I guess it's worth it.

I scratched my paint putting it in so I will have to do some retouch work. I find the best way to install the dash bezel is to remove the drivers seat so you can lay down easily and get up in there. I'm not as young or as agile as I used to be.

Mr Gs in Fort Worth, TX has done instrument cluster and armrest base plating for me. I like his chrome and black painted products.

I wasn't too crazy about the "woodgrain" of the last 72 A-body cluster he did for me. It may have been that I've gotten so used to the real woods and great immitations used in some of the cars I drive, I've been spoiled. To be fair, it looked like a factory job from the era. We've just come a LONG way.
