Rallye dash Tach retrofit?

-
I’ve been waiting months for the reproduction tach to be back in stock but my patience is growing thin.

Where are you waiting on your tach from? I ordered mine from Herbs Restoration Parts. It took a couple of months for them to catch up on production, but Id say I got it in a fairly timely fashion. Also, it works and looks beautiful in my 70 Swinger rally dash :)

It doesn't matter what tach you buy. If your changing the face decal you can put the needle where ever you want. You do have to power up the tach on the bench to put the needle on. When its powered up the shaft is on zero. That is where you install the needle on zero.

I had the same experience with Herb's, but it was more like two weeks. They told me that they were supplying everyone, including Classic Industries, etc., but they were taking care of their retail customers first. So using Herb's or any of the other businesses under the AMS Obsolete ownership should be quicker.

I am ordering from classic industries, I’ve waited about 4 months already and still nothing. Might be easier to order from herbs.

You have any pics on what you did?

I would have to agree. Herbs says on their site that they are about 2-3 weeks behind on their orders. If I was you, Id cancel my order with Classic and talk with Herbs and order from there. Like @S'cuder said, they supply Classic and other business', might as well order right from the source.
As an afterthought, the quality of the tach I received from Herbs was topnotch, I am very happy with it, fit and function is 100%.

I just went down this road- I waited for months for Classic then canceled the order and ordered one from Herb's. I applied the '67 decal and repositioned the needle as described in post #4 above. I was very happy with the quality, timeliness and customer service from Herb's.

Just got an answer from Herbs, apparently there is no scheduled ETA since there was an issue with the molding process.
