Rallye mirror glass removal

Is there a good way to remove the mirror (glass)
from the mirror body on a non remote rallye mirror
without damaging the glass so I can paint inside

I've done it on a non-sport mirror. Used a propane torch to gentlywarm the glass until the adhesive released it's grip.
