Ram/Dakota Shorty Header Clearance

Has anyone tried to fit a set of shorty headers for a Ram/Dakota in an A Body? They were on the motor I pulled from the parts truck. I would like to use them because my 1971 Dart Swinger has long tubes on it that hang really low and are in the way of everything steering related.

They won’t work without heavy modification.

That's what I was worried about. The way the number 7 tube comes and curles around was where I think it would hit the steering column.
