I figured I would post some pics of anything "interesting" around here in Unity, SK. Some are of my drive here, some of Unity itself, my workplace, Mopars I see on the way etc...some boring, some not so boring. I dont know how to add dialogue/text with each pic so they might be a little jumbled up.

Snowy pics are of Northern Ontario...Long lac, Thunderbay area

Pic of hotel is where I am staying.
67?? Newport( I think), 72 Dart I saw at the Liquor store in North Battleford. Father and son's car they brought up from Louisianna. 318 3spd floor shirt car orig. Now a 383/727 combo. Nice car and nice owners! I mentioned fabo(of course) and they are on, but couldnt remember their signon.
Hino single axle I get to drive occasionally
Pic of a water line break we were repairing...it turned into a water line, and 2 sewer lines!! Exc. contractor "nicked" the sewer service line...then the sewer main line!! :blob:
Took pic of a deer that was in the middle of the road right here in town(early am) then sauntered to the roadside for a pic.

Big *** giant swing set...builder used diffs at the top. Its huge probably 20-25 feet tall.

Dinner with oldkimmer and his wife Pat, also 70Dartmike and his better half Carmen.

More dart pics and some pics of the highwater near Unity. These were on my drive back from Battleford. In some areas, the water was up over the road.(drive there no water over the road)
Beer/booze prices are outrageous...$48 for a 24 of domestic beer...I settled on a 12 pack of Lucky Lager for $20, but next time will drive the 40 minutes to Lloydminster in Alberta for cheaper beer!!

There is a lime-green Challenger around here I saw, but was too slow on the camera. I will track it down..

Looks like your fitting in there on the flatland , the restaurant looks familiar was that in Kindersley ? hopefully you will find a house and get settled in eh ! See you guys in a couple of months .
PS I'm always looking for new places to blast gophers and prairre dogs so if you hear the farmers bitching about em let me know .

Thanks for the cool pics and the update Steve! I hope things are going well for you so far. That is alot of money for beer! You may want to find a U-brew and start making your own. I knew you would find some cool mopar iron out there (love the dart!). Keep the updates coming and take care!

Here are some more pics...another Mopar in outdoor storage, I left my name and # on the windshield.
Gophers just for you Nucky. The restaurant in the pics is Humptys in Kindersley. I think the waitress was hitting on me. She might have been looking for her "green card" LOL
Andy that Ubrew is a good idea, they have one here in town. I havent done it in years as the beer dropped in price in Ontario.
Pics of the caddys are his/hers...one for Dad and the daughter owns the one on the road.

Cheers

Yeah I thought that was the place , I think I met the same waitress lol , funny when I take pics of vermin they are always missing large chunks I don't think I've ever seen a whole one up close like that . keep your stick on the ice buddy

Yeah Chris.... Make sure you throw him in the passenger seat and bring him along with ya! We all want to see the hot wing champ defend his crown!

Great pics Steve, I'm glad to see you are enjoying it out there!

I've offered twice now , the wing contest isn't worth entering without a shot at the champ , Still hoping my trip won't get hosed by work , we've got 3 projects running behind schedule due to underground problems found when we dug the holes and if they all hit the stage I work in at the same time I am going to have a hard time getting away myself .

PS maybe I should get a small tool trailer and just kidnap him and Kimmer both eh !

Thanks guys, I sure would love the chance to defend my title. I may ask for it off, but not just yet...not even a month into the job! I have been practicing though....local pub has 1/2 price wings every Wednesday!! I think its a bad luck ritual though...Leafs have lost the past 2 Wed nites!!

Pic of a disposable charcoal bbq I bought...frickin thing almost folded in 1/2 and all I had was a pork chop and veggies...then I went to Walfart and bought a cheap propane one....MUCH better. Setup on the tailgate of my truck.

Here is a pic of an Elk?? Or some kinda deer?? On my way back from Calgary...went there to see an old friend(Jason) who was selling at a Reptile show, and Monook/Darryl(new friend). Any idea what it is??

Here is a pic of a car in North Battleford Walmart parking lot...I wonder if the envelopes are from the welfare cheques?? I didnt want to get any closer...

Went to Luseland about 1/2 hr from me to check out a town wide yard sale...pretty cool. Ya grabbed a map and checked out different locations. I went looking for the heck of it, didnt find anything, but it killed some time and I found an old 1929 Chev, with wood spoke wheels. Yes its for sale, and a Sno-plane that was used back in the day. Snoplane was home/hand made and were used to transport sick people.
Also some random pics of vehicles here in Unity. Dodge truck is a 77 with 360 4bble...can be had for $500...Old International(I think) and a Monte Carlo in nice shape...looks mostly original. Dad had a 76 with swivel buckets back in the day...always liked them.

..................Hey Steve, that deer looking animal is an antelope..........that 77 dodge is my bro-inlaws............I just bought it.................kim..........

Hey Steve, Love the pics! That is a cool looking yard with all the old trucks! I like your new grill, it looks much sturdier than the first one you bought. The first one looked like nothing more than an aluminum drip tray with some charcoal in it. LOL. Have you looked any further into brewing your own beer? I'm glad to see you are doing fine and that you are starting to get a lay of the land, so to speak. Have fun and keep on postin those pics!

Hey that was my truck!!

Very cool pics, and some good old iron up there. Thanks for posting.

Very cool looking trucks, wish I had the time to stop and look at em

Yeah that 1st grill was brutal...but for $8 it got me by for a couple meals. I havent checked into the brewing yet. I went to Lloydminster which is right on the Alberta/Sask border and got cheaper beer, the "truck yard" was on the way there. Moving out this weekend, it'll be nice to come home to no drunken assclowns hanging around outside.

Going to Saskatoon tomorrow to watch a Memorial Cup game with the boss. Portland Winterhawks vs Halifax Moosejaws. Never been to one before, it should be a good time!

Thanks all!

Hi Steve, thanks for sharing the pics.Hope the job is what you,ve wanted.Call me anytime when you have time to chat.:D
