Rear brakes on 8 1/4 to 8 3/4 axle?

I took the front discs of a 75 Dart to repleace the disc setup on my 69 Barracuda. Got to looking at the 8 1/4 rear axle drum brake setup and was wondering if any one knows if the 8 1/4 axle brakes can be swapped out on the 8 3/4 axle drum brakes on the 69 cuda. They have a wider shoe and drum, look stronger. Thanks John

You'll run into trouble with the drums, cause of the different lug pattern in the back. If I'm not mistaken. If you upgrade to the big pattern axle with the big brake spacing then it work. I've done it. Then turned around and put a rear disk brakes off of an 96 Grand Cherokee. This took a little machining on the caliper bracket, but not much. I hope this helps.
