Wanting to remove the bumber off my 1975 dart and put a earlier say 1971 bumber on. Can I just get the bumber and brackets from a 1971 and bolt on the 1975. The 75 has the energy absorbing stuff on it.

How do you keep misspelling bumPer?:toothy8:

I've done this mod. Sorry, it isn't a direct bolt in deal. In the back, I welded a plate over the large hole that the shock passes through. I then used standard 70-73 bumper brackets and a 70 bumper. For the front, I had to make a captive nut plate. I took some 14 guage sheet metal and welded 2 nuts to it, then slid it into the front frame rails. I welded it to keep it still, then the 67-73 bumper brackets then bolted in like stock.
Good luck!

Don't feel bad.Al bundy used to get his checks labeled "Al Bumby".
