rear floor pan rust

I am having a difficult time deciding what to do with this driver side rear floor pan rust under where the rear seat clips in to on my 70 dart swinger. I can't find any replacement metal for this area so I'll have to make something myself. Does that whole piece come out that has the rear seat clip on it? It looks like a bunch of lap joints spot welded down.

I have those rear floor pan extensions very nice correct originals already trimmed ready to be installed and i also have a complete rust free under the rear seat pan also trimmed ready to install. PM sent
