Does anyone know what the difference or differences in early(pre 67) vs post 67 rear frame rails. Looks like the rear frame rail caps fit both generations. I have a line on good rear frame rails locally for my duster but they are from a 66 barracuda, I need to know if I can make the work or if they are completely different?

I kind of figured that might be the difference, mine have been cut out as it was an old drag car. Not really sure how I posted it twice.

They may fit but I don't think so there was some difference in the 66 and down, and 67 and up cars... I don't really remember alot, however I bet if you look at the FSM and went to the chassis and body section, you can look at the blueprints, and figure out if they'd work or not..Maybe. hopefully some of our more knowledgeable, heavy chassis workers will kick in on the conversation

AFAIK, they are the same, as far as structure and fitment, but they very well could be differences in the size or shape or position of holes or slots in the rear frames. I may have some 68-72 rear rails for sale at the All Chrysler Nationals in Carlisle, PA in July.

If you're on the phone, it cam happen, I've had it happen to me a couple times...I just wack one, but, if it's in N@P? you can't even do that

I believe that one difference is that early ones were formed for single exhaust and the later ones for dual exhaust.
