I'm going to replace a rear wheel cylinder in my 65 Dart tonight, and I want to replace the LH hard line between the splitter on the axle and the wheel cylinder, because some yahoo in the past thought that Vice-Grips were the best tool for the job, and they hosed up the fitting.

Does anyone know what size and type of line I need to pick up on my way home?
I plan on cutting, bending and flaring it as needed. I just want to get the right size line/fittings.

Thanks!

i am gonna have to go with grump on this one.

hit the nail in the center of the head.

Any auto parts store has brake line already made up. Maybe you can get lucky and get one the right length. If not bend it and cut it.

make sure the parts place gives you the correct thread pitch. there is such thing as a metric thread double flare line, you obviously want the standard thread. id just make sure you get the right stuff as most parts guys arent the sharpest tools in the shed...
