We are going to have to demand............detals!!!!! LOLOL

Like what did you use for a scavenge pump, how did you restrict oil supply (or is it a sealed bearing unit?) how is lag, and what you use for fuel AKA carb / efi what?

Yea more details please. About 5 years ago I did the same thing to my daily driver. 2001 Chevy 3500 dually 8.1 vortec. Garrett gt55. It’s a riot.

I'd think it would be great for WOT runs with an automatic to keep the turbo spooled. Only drawback I could imagine would be turbo lag and a somewhat inefficient loss of thermal heat but you can make that up by selecting the right turbo. Makes for a roomy install!

Short details 451,eddy heads,Dimond pistons, scat 3.75 rotating assembly,Turbonectics Y2K88 ballbearing .96AR,FTI 3200 converter,Transact transbrake with billet drum bolt in sprag trans built by me, Shumacher shorty headers,Fitech EFI with A1000 feul pump and regulator it works pretty good for street and some track. Just thought I would share my experience really had no idea what I was doing I just knew what I wanted to do.

Is that just a hole cut in the side of the exhaust pipe where the turbo is mounted or is there something that diverts the exhaust gasses to the turbo?

That's what Matt is going to do in the latest incarnation of his 53 Chevy truck. He has cut the cab in half, lengthened the frame and is making it a crew cab. It has a 6.2 LS of course and is really tight in the engine bay so he's going to mount the turbos under the rear "somewhere".

That's a clean install you have there. Looks good!

Your car sounds killer in that video. What does it run? And do you know how much power it makes?

I believe a 451 probably benefits from a little turbo lag in an A body. It looks like it's close to the limit "on the hit' as it is. Awesome job, though! The single 88 seems to work so well for anything that's making big power.

The only limited part is the exhaust it really needs bigger headers and exhaust feed to turbo has this run was 10lbs the plan is to go 20 I’ve had much on current level especially on the street.

I was working through a rear mounted turbo set up a few years ago and sketched up a plan to use one of the sub frame connectors as the pressure side delivery passage. I have since moved on to other projects but I still think a rear mounted turbo has advantages: weight distribution, packaging, removing heat from the engine bay, no muffler back pressure.

Actually it’s got about 9500 miles on it. I don’t post much just read alot from others.
I think I got about 12k miles on mine before it gave me problems. That was years ago. The exa-pump now has over 300,000 miles on it and still works flawlessly.

My pump wasn’t from STS but from the manufacturer they use. Can’t remember the name. I kept it as a back up but have never needed it. The smoke screen it created when the pump stopped working was like something out of a James Bond movie.

Yes I have already thought about getting another pump just because I don't want it to go out on the road.
