I want to get an extra set of rear rims so I can mount some drag radials when I go to race. The ones I have in mind are 15x7 or 15x8 with 4.5 back spacing. Stock wheel wells, no tubbing.

First of all, I was going to get the 15x8 (4.5 backspace), which, depending on tire size should be fine? I don't want to order special rims, just too much money right now.

Next, any recommendations on tire size and model. I won't be trailering this, just drive to the track and need DOT tires. Plus, the street legal drags require DOT tires.

I will have my regular rims and tires for street driving.

Mikey Thompson DOT drag radials are the best tire for both street & strip.
They have several sizes that should work for you. 235/60 255/60 275/60
With an 8" wheel 255 or 275.
