I'm running ladder bars on my daughters 69 dart, I'm having issues with the back tires unloading when the front suspension tops out and starts to pull the tires of the ground. Seems as though as soon as i see daylight under the front tires the rear wants to unload, any ideas? Thanks

Maybe rear shocks topping out, at max extension? Shocks angled too close to the axle, binding against axle housing?

I would tighten the front shocks extension. Slow it down so it tops out softer/later. If you don’t have adjustable shocks in front, you can lower the ride height. Which makes it travel farther, taking longer. If you can’t, is the car throwing the rear axle down HARD? You might slow that down by tightening up the rear extension. If all else fails you could soften the compression in the rear to limit the bounce.

The launch is like Thanksgiving dinner, you want to get through it without upsetting anyone. :)

Need more details and is there any video available?

When my '70 manual trans E-Body would launch, even on the street, the rears would jump off the pavement like you describe from the hit from hard launch. It's a leaf spring suspension with a properly adjusted slapper bar to control the front-segment's spring wrap.

Not only was the factory length rear shock not long enough, but I also added AFCO Double Adjustables. Even on maximum extension dampening, it was not enough to slow down the separation. I contacted AFCO and had the shocks re-valved using their "Big Dog" valving, which allowed me to dial in the body separation and eliminate the issue successfully. My traction is the best it has ever been.
