Anyone? There used to be a guy on moparts.com who had made a jig to redrill a Mag head for a LA intake, but I was a wondering...

Has anyone done it in reverse? Redrilling a LA head for a Mag intake?

Thanks!

No demand for such a swap because the magnum beer barrel intake is not good in performance applications.

And there are also minor issues with using the Magnum Air Gap and LA style water pump etc.

Lemme 'splain why I ask. I have a set of EQ Magnum heads drilled for an LA intake (they come both ways) and after we're done playing with them on the bench, we were wondering if they could be adapted to a late model 360 Mag (in a Dakota R/T) with the stock intake (beer barrel).

The OEM intake was ported and it gained a solid 3 tenths and a couple MPH with a chip added. Not to mention, motor has to remain "stock" to meet the CA smog laws. Further, even though they OUTFLOW the OEM Mag heads BIG TIME, they are smog legal in CA and a "stock replacement" head...

Guess we could cut apart a doner beer barrel and use the bottom for a "jig" but would be interested in everyone else's feedback.

Thanks
