Any body know what to do or how to do it as far as how to freshn up an old 69 4 speed hurst.
Im doing a complete resto mod on my 69 cuda and figure the trans should get a face lift as well.
Any suggestions out thier? seems sloppy and loose when shifting and definetly has seen its abuse.
Thanks, Machine head Dan

I rebuilt my four speed a couple of years back. It was actually fairly easy. Get a good set of snap ring pliers as there are a couple of them that a quite large. The normal size snap ring pliers you get at sears are not big enough. Brewers Performance has all the stuff you need.

Your best bet is to do a complete teardown. Brewers or Passon Performance has all the stuff ya need for the rebuild.

BTW, it's not a Hurst transmission, some of them did come from the factory with Hurst shifters though. I believe they were made by New Process for Mopar.

pntastar, what wheels ru running. i've 68 Gts in same colour & am looking at new wheels to replace dog dishes.
