remote mirror cable retainer clip location???

The cable hangs loose, but the mirror control thing is secured by a clip that goes behind the inner door panel and holds the control tight against it.
 
The clip holds the cable away from the glass. It should have a couple of "teeth" on one end. You may be able to see a couple of short scratches somewhere on the inner metal door panel. Failing that just place the cable in the clip and clip it to hold the cable out of the way of the window. Hope this helps you.
