remote trunk release

I believe there was an option for interior hood release, but is there a factory option for remote trunk release? if so where might one find one.

if not, has anyone out there done it?

I know I'm going to need the lever and a loooonnng cable (probably custom made) to run back to the latch. The latch connections I think I can figure out.

Not sure about the mechanical remote. Pretty sure you can retro fit an electric release from a Fifth Ave., Cordoba, Etc... pretty easy..

That sound's like a much better idea than a 15 foot cable run to the back of the car.

I put one in my ol Aspen out of a Dippy. Worked good. Hey Mike, is that a trunk light pin switch? how do you like it and what is it out of?

I got mine off eBay. Between rounds I park at the trailer with the key (remember it's a street car) in accessory position so I can run the fan and water pump. I used to have take the key out, pop the trunk and then put the key back in the ignition. Now if the key is on I can just hit the button, pop the trunk and refuel.
