Removing Valve Covers

How is the best way without damaging anything? Mine are on very solid and can not get a putty knive in between to use as leverage. It appears they have been on for at least my life time anyway.

A sharp rap with the bottom of my fist has always worked for me :toothy10:

Large, soft, rubber malet. A very handy tool for parts whoopin:-D

Ditto, I give them a shot on all four corners hitting the long side and most times come loose after two hits.
