Repairing a cracked dash pad...

I have a really nice dash pad that has a few cracks (really narrow ones) in it and besides those it is really nice. I picked up a vinyl repair kit today and have started to patch it up. Have any of you guys ever had success with this?

I tried patching them years ago but you could always see the repair. The kits may be better nowadays but try it and see how it works
