replacing dash w/aftermarket gauges

My dash is hacked up so I'm going to replace it with another dash which I have made a large benzel type aluminum face plate for. I have the w/shield out and want to start to pull the dash but figured I would ask here first what I'm getting into . In my mind pop out dash ..wire gauges to alt /fuel/oil pressure/batt./water.temp/ tach/speedo done. Leaving sterring column alone. Now thats my bazzaro mind what is reality . Need help thanks ..1970 swinger

thats going to be quite the project are you sure u cant salvage anything? maybe get a used dash? any concept drawings :thumblef:

I have another 70 dash just using the benzel on that dash and installing gauges benzel is full length of dash gauges in front of driver and where heater controls were .. camera giving me problems will get pics up soon....... sorry threads worthless pal.... I just need removal info thanks
