Oh man don't dump the leaning tower of power!!
If it was mine, I would build that 225 to the hilt with some boost, etc.
Then dial in the suspension until it's on rails.

and def check under that back seat

They only show k member for small blocks for A body cars...that is why I ask the question...
That was my first question when I started looking. According to the tech guys at QA1, it's no problem, just use the Schumacher or equivalent conversion mounts.

Ok, got the motor and trans out today. No major issues there, but did fid some additional issues that need serious attention! Oh well, looks like i'll be honing my welding and fab skills.

Well pulled the seats and "floor covering" (for lack of a better term), and found it was a little worse than expected. I will certainly accept any advice and tips through the process of this repair. Like should I weld in the subframe connectors first, for more structural support while doing the pan work? whole pan? partial etc. here are a couple more shots of the floor.

Looks like you used a spot cutter to bust the floor loose.

If you are ever going to go at it again, removing a complete floor, use a grinder to cut the welds on the floor. Goes MUCH quicker, 1/2 the time or less. You are throwing the pan out anyways, so what it looks like when removed is inconsequential.

Nice work on the car!

Thanks, whats funny is I was going to do that, but was told by a guy I know that the cutter was the way to go. Plus now i have to grind it all anyway! Guess I'll trust my instincts more often in the future!

If you are saving the panel that is being removed, a cutter or something else to cleanly bust the spots loose is required. Junking the panel... tear it up!!! :)
