well here is the situation my dad and i got a 73 dart swinger so that we could have a project car to fix up and I am new to the forum. I was wanting to know how i would go about replacing the rear reverse light socket. When we got it, it was rusted out and was a pain to get out and we have tried various socket fittings and we have had no luck, we very well might be replacing it wrong so we need some help.
thanks

Donor car parts should be easy to get.
Cut the wires and replace with a splice and heat shrink at the joining area.

How interesting, my 73 Swinger has the same issue....

IIRC you can use some red (18-22ga.) butt connectors and the terminal size is the same to use as a direct plug. I would have to check but I beleive that is correct. Crimp one end on the wire and the other should fit on to the terminal on the switch.
