As in lower hood line and cowl induction ? Anybody ? Anyone dry sumped one of these engines ? I hope to mod the alum. rear sump pan,(truck) for more ground clearance,(sports car). Onward, ateam.:glasses3:

I'm not even sure the intake would physically bolt on 180*. Have you tried to put the intake down backwards and see if any of the bolt holes line up or heck even the ports?

The cast aluminum pan is going to be difficult to get leak proof. No harm trying to mod it, at least knowing you can buy an aftermarket pan that's already to go.

Sorry, somehow I failed to notice this was in the 3G hemi dept.

I believe it will mount up reversed. Mopar's turbo charged Drag Pak Challenger that they race/test with has the intake facing rearward.

Zippy over on Moparts works on that car. He would know for sure.

I think that the throttle body would be in the fire wall though. Definately a tight fit.

Keep us posted on what you find.

It will reverse. Not a problem. But you need a hole on the firewall for the tb. I guess you Gould hook it up to the a/c duct, and get a true cold air intake. Lol I actually thought about it for my cAr as I could then have the air to water intercooler in the pass seat, but I didn't wanna give up seat space, I I sort of want it street legal, and having a passenger would be cool.

Well I didn't fail to notice, this IS 3G question. I'm not convinced that it's a dumbass question , since others more mopar savvy than I, have allready tried it. As for modding an aluminum pan, that I already have, to suit my particular install, why not ? I feel that's part of hot rodding.:banghead:

Again on the intake I have perfect waterjet cut aluminum plates that fit the ports perfectly, and are set up with all the bolt holes everything. And I can swap it side to side, it docent matter. I can drop on the 6.1 manifold and the bolt holes still line up the same. So it tells me the ports gotta lime up too.
