I bought a pair of these brake shields and they almost fit except one of the lower ball joint bolt heads is keeping the shield from sitting flush. Anyone else have this problem?
Anyone know where I can get some shields that actually fit? Im really getting tired of aftermarket parts that dont fit.

Common defect with those repop shields.
Every one of them that i ever purchased, i had to do some grinding to clear the head of the big ball joint bolt.
But after that, they work well, and look real nice.
Get out the file, or Dremel.

I really didnt want to go grinding on it but I guess I have no choice. Gotta love these repop parts, it seems nothing out there fits like it should.

I've shopped for 8 months for them. One of our members is currently digging out a set of the "real thing" old stuff, but not in hand yet. I found that MO Parts claims that they have them....ordered them a week ago. I'll let you know how those fit

See them on modern iron? Leave them off. Don't need them. They may actually retain heat in the rotors.
If you're swapping brakes on an older car, the resto correctness is already gone.
