Can I use a stock hydraulic rocker shaft with 273 mech. rockers if I ad the hole for pushrod oiling. I've seen some with 2 holes.

If you are using hydraulic lifters you MUST banana groove the shafts. If you are running solid lifters you SHOULD banana groove the shafts.
The extra oil hole is a very good idea, but I’ve seen guys get away with not running it.

If you got em, mod and run them. Your obviously asking if you can use them and the answer is yes. take a grinder and a thin wheel and make the banana grooves and dress the edges, work just fine. The stockers were hard chrome plated IIRC and the hydros were not, just a wear warning...or?
