1) Do roller lifters from a 5.9 magnum work on a roller cam LA360 block?

2)Are 5.2 mag lifters the same as 5.9 mag lifters?

3) What is the maximum cam lobe lift before the oil grooves on the roller lifters become uncovered by the lifter bores on a roller LA360? Will 0.375" lobe lift uncover the them?

Thanks!

1 IDK match them up and the alignment methods/ spiders etc
5.2 and 5.9 are the same

a lot depends on your block, if it has the deep bevels at the top of the bores
I always bush tall
read the oiling thread if you are going to rpm

1. yes 2. no but only difference is magnums pump oil threw hollow push rods to oil the valve train, on a LA just run solid push rods! 3. idk let me know if you find out!!

run hollow pushrods on la stock/ iron or roller rockers
have you been reading all the oil mods to the iron rockers?
hollow pushrods solve the pushrod side

Do the roller cam LA360 blocks even have camfered lifter bores? Or are they taller like the magnum blocks?

Here's a picture of mine going together. We used stock Melling replacement roller lifters and a magnum spider and dog bones from Hughes.

Brian, do you remember the preload you adjusted with the mellings? I just swapped cams, got new lifters also.....and it seems that these melling jb 2225 lifters can´t take the preload used before with the stock mopar ones.....unfortunately intake is already mounted. Thanks!

regarding uncovering the bores, here´s a shot of number 1 intake @ full lift with .373" lobe lift. I think .420" lobe lift should be no problem. Ran .387" lobe lift before with out problems.

I have found LA roller lifter bleed hole (looking from front of car) are orientated front to back, I believe Magnums are side to side. The LA rollers can bleed off sometimes after sitting for a while
causing lifter ticks until warm up. Lifters can be interchanged, keep Magnum lifter bleed hole
On the top side of engine, keep LA roller bleed hole on the higher side of the engine (measure engine with spirt level when on level ground
