Rolling Fenders on a 72 Swinger

Hi guys.

I want to put 245/60R14 tires on my wheels which only have a 3 inch backspace and obviously the stick out way past the stock fender well.

Has anyone had any experience with rolling fenders out to make room for sch wide tires?

I would appreciate your experience.

Before you roll the 1/4s think about this.

What would cost less;

Getting 2 wheels that fit or body working and repainting at least 1/2 of your car if something goes wrong?

I have my own shop so body working etc is not necessarily a problem but I think I've solved my own question...I'm going to get a new rear end and shorten the axels/housing and then I won't need to change the fenders at all.

?? You must love those wheels. A wheel change would take an hour in a slow tire shop.
